#4 Your thought on the talk: Inside the mind of a master procrastinator
Yes, I often procrastinate.
2. What are some of the things you procrastinate on?
I procrastinate on something I should finish on time like my homework, reports, and studying. In addition, there are something which doesn't have the deadline like dream and target. Just like the speaker talked about. When something has the deadline and the time is getting closer and closer to the deadline, the panic monster will come out to push us finish our job. In other words, if something doesn't have the deadline maybe we will continue to procrastinate and never finish.
3. What are strategies you can use to combat procrastination.
I think the most effective way to combat procrastination is turn off the smartphone. Because mobile phones make us finish our projects very inefficient. We are often distracted by mobile phones and then cause procrastination. Just like the speaker talked about. There is the instant gratification monkey in our mind. We only care about two thinks: easy and fun. So as long as we cut off entertainment, we can avoid procrastination.
By the way, I think we can go studying in the library, because there is a good studying atmosphere to make people more focused and more concentrated.
